The Ambuklao Dam in Bokod, Benguet has opened one of its gates due to the effects of Typhoon Egay, PAGASA said Wednesday.
In its 9 a.m. flood situationer for the Ambuklao-Binga dams, PAGASA said Ambuklao’s water level reached 747.85 meters at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
Thus it opened one of its gates at 11 a.m. at 0.5 m, with an estimated discharge of 60 cms.
The Barangay Ambuklao in Bokod is set to be affected by the release of water from the dam.
PAGASA advised residents and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils concerned to take appropriate actions. — Jamil Santos/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
