Gabbi Garcia says Khalil Ramos in ‘Tick, Tick… Boom!” is ‘sooo good”

Visiting her beau Khalil Ramos at rehearsals for “Tick, Tick… Boom!” the Kapuso It Girl posted a clip of Khalil on her Instagram Stories singing “See Her Smile” and gushed over her boyfriend’s talent.

“Visited Kali today during rehearsals for [‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’] sooo good,” she said.

In another Story posted by 9 Works Theatrical where Khalil sings the high note in “Louder Than Words,” Gabbi was asked, “How was that?”

“Galing!” The “Unbreak My Heart” actress said with a smile. “Aprub,” Khalil said.

“Tick, Tick… Boom!” is Khalil’s debut musical. The Kapuso actor will be alternating with Jef Flores in the lead role of Jon.

More cast members include longtime theater actors Reb Atadero, Tanya Manalang, Kayla Rivera, and Vien King.

“Tick, Tick… Boom!” is a semi-autobiographical work by Jonathan Larson. It follows Jon, a struggling, aspiring composer in New York City, who writes a musical in order to enter the theater industry. That musical ended up being “Rent.”

“Tick, Tick… Boom!” debuted Off-Broadway in 2001 and gained more popularity as a Netflix film starring Andrew Garfield and directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is also the man behind “Hamilton.”

Meanwhile, 9 Works Theatrical is the company behind “Dani Girl,” “Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!” and many more.

“Tick, Tick… Boom!” will run for all weekends of August at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati.

Khalil recently acted as Basilio in “Maria Clara at Ibarra” and has an upcoming project alongside Maris Racal and Dolly De Leon.
