A search team has found the wreckage of the missing Cessna 152 in Luna Apayao, Jhomer Apresto reported on Super Radyo dzBB on Thursday night.
Citing information from the Army’s 503rd Infantry Brigade based in the province, also recovered were the bodies of the pilot and the student-pilot.
The pilot was identified as Capt. Edzel John Lumbao Tabuzo while student was Anshum Rajkumar Konde, an Indian.
Tabuzo’s remains have been turned over to his family. Konde’s body is still being processed and is scheduled to be brought to the Indian embassy.
The ill-fated aircraft bound for Tuguegarao City left the Laoag City airport at 12:16 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, the light aircraft was last monitored 32 nautical miles from Alcala, Cagayan.
Authorities lost contact with the pilot and until Tuesday night could not be reached by cellphone or by radio. —Jiselle Casucian/NB, GMA Integrated News
