Jhanlo Sangiao of Team Lakay suffered the first setback in his professional mixed martial arts career following a second-round submission loss to Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu this Saturday morning at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Sangiao got off to a good start as he gave Baatarkhuu a cut early thanks to his fast combinations on top before dropping the latter with a straight right hand on top midway through the round.
Baatarkhuu caught Sangiao with an elbow that momentarily stunned the latter paving the way for a takedown in the following stanza. While on the mat, Baatarkhuu worked to secure a kimura forcing a tap from Sangiao at the 2:53 mark of round two.
The win improved Baatarkhuu’s record to 10-2 while Sangiao fell to 6-1.
