The nationals relied on a strong third quarter as it outscored Iran, 26-9, to end the said frame at 49-39 in their favor, before they eventually took the win and improve their standings to 1-1.
Jaz Joson and Kacey dela Rosa chipped in 12 points apiece while Jack Animam had 15 rebounds on top of her seven-point output.
The Philippines will next face Chinese White on Monday afternoon.
