Mobile game publisher Moonton Games and M4 world champions Echo of the Philippines on Wednesday officially unveiled the much-awaited M4 champion skin of their signature hero Chou.
In the new skin, which was made in collaboration with Echo’s players and management, Chou is seen donning the team’s famous varsity jacket while riding an orca, which is also the team’s moniker.
“We are grateful to MOONTON Games for working closely with us. We enjoyed the process of creating this with them, and the final output definitely represents our vision as a team. We hope our fans, the orcas support us and get their own M4 Champion skin,” said Mitch Liwanag, ECHO Country Manager.
ECHO roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, who usually uses Chou as his signature pick, shared that the team had fun having had part in the design process of the skin.
“The skin design is great and extraordinary, it’s really something that we like. Even the ECHO jacket I said I wanted to be included is seen. We had fun designing this skin and we hope our fans like it,” Yawi said.
Chou is the first fighter hero to get a customized skin in the M series as EVOS Legends chose mage Harith after they ruled the M1 World Championship while Philippines’ Bren Esports went for assassin Lancelot after winning the M2 World Championship. Blacklist International, on the other hand, picked support hero Estes after conquering M3.
The new skin can be purchased from August 14 to 20.
