After a lively audition process filled with improvisation, the team knew they had found their star. She had the unique opportunity to help build the show from the ground up, premiering their very first performance in Abu Dhabi. According to Kelly, the result is an incredibly fun show where no one leaves the theater without a smile on their face.

​When asked about the challenges of keeping young audiences entertained, Kelly is quick to point out that it simply hasn’t been a problem. The production is designed to be fully immersive, consistently breaking the fourth wall and playing directly with the audience.

​”I don’t think we have any challenges,” Kelly notes, highlighting the show’s mesmerizing UV (ultraviolet) scenes and continuous on-stage action. “We’re not always on the stage and unapproachable… they seem to be super engaged all the time.”

​Her background as a dance instructor for children of various ages laid the perfect foundation for this role. Her previous career organically prepared her for the dynamic, highly interactive environment of a children’s live show, allowing her to naturally connect with the young fans in the crowd.

​Pre-Show Rituals and Timeless Appeal
​Stepping into the energetic world of Peppa Pig requires a youthful spirit. Kelly’s pre-performance routine includes adding little freckles to her makeup, grabbing an iced coffee, getting suited up in her costume, and running on the spot to hype herself up so she never feels “slump-y.”

​But what makes Peppa Pig such a timeless franchise? For Kelly, it’s the brand’s commitment to staying classic rather than trying to follow trends. “They don’t try to fit into a lane, they are their own lane,” she explains. This authenticity translates beautifully to the live stage, where heartwarming interactions between characters like Mummy Pig and the audience radiate “mother energy,” and the crowd’s ecstatic cheers for Daddy Pig fill the theater.

​”I would probably say even overstimulated [in a good way], because there’s so much to catch,” Kelly shares. “I don’t think that you’re gonna have any trouble trying to find enjoyment from it. I think it’s gonna appeal to everybody in the audience.”
