Taytay Explores Solar Energy Collaboration to Drive Sustainable Growth
January 6, 2026 — Taytay, Rizal
Taytay is taking a big step toward clean energy and economic development. Amsteel Structures Inc. and Dantru Development Corp., in partnership with the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO), recently held exploratory talks on a potential solar energy project designed to generate green power, create jobs, and attract sustainable investments to the municipality.
The discussions, led by Sir Aaron Kaw, EVP of Amsteel Structures, and Mary Ann Dizon, focused on the technical feasibility of the project, leveraging Amsteel’s structural engineering expertise. Dantru Development Corp., represented by President Floriendelyn Sibonga, COO Arsenio Robledo Jr., and CFO Rita Sibonga alongside RPConnect CEO Noubikko Ulanday, explored investment opportunities aligned with Taytay’s growth priorities. Coordination and facilitation were provided by LEDIPO, under Mayor Allan De Leon and Atty. Dustin Regalado, with support from Cristina F. Gonzales and the LEDIPO team.
A site visit and ocular inspection followed, evaluating technical requirements, site conditions, and solar installation considerations. The results of this assessment will guide the next steps, ensuring the project is practical, safe, and cost-effective.
Why this matters:
-
For the community: Potential creation of local jobs and skills development in renewable energy.
-
For businesses: Opportunities for sustainable partnerships and investment in green infrastructure.
-
For Taytay: Alignment with long-term development goals, promoting environmental sustainability and energy independence.
While still in the planning stage, this initiative demonstrates Taytay’s commitment to forward-looking solutions that benefit residents, businesses, and the environment. “This is a step toward a greener, smarter Taytay—where innovation and sustainability meet opportunity,” said Mayor Allan De Leon.
Next Steps: LEDIPO will continue coordinating with both companies to conduct feasibility studies, assess investment models, and explore community engagement programs that ensure broad benefits for Taytayeños.
