ABS-CBN Bags Top Honors at 8th Gawad Lasallianeta Awards

ABS-CBN programs and stars earned major recognitions, including two special awards for Vice Ganda, at the 8th Gawad Lasallianeta Awards held on January 26 at De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU).
It’s primetime noontime program “It’s Showtime” won Most Outstanding Variety Show, while its ensemble of energizing hosts took home the Most Outstanding Variety Show Hosts award.
The Unkabogable Queen Vice Ganda, meanwhile, was named Most Influential Celebrity and Most Outstanding Brand Endorser.

“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” also won Most Outstanding Teleserye, while its lead actress, Anne Curtis-Smith, was named Most Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role for her powerful performance as Mia in the series.

Zia Grace, one of the lead stars of “Saving Grace,” received the Most Outstanding Child Star Award, while Maris Racal was awarded Most Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role for “Incognito.”
“Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” bagged the Most Outstanding Competition/Reality Show award, while its hosts were named Most Outstanding Competition Show Hosts. Former PBB housemate Esnyr was also honored as Most Outstanding Social Media Personality for his stellar online presence.
PBB alum Brent Manalo, meanwhile, is the recipient of the Zeal for Excellence as Lasallian Public Personality Award, one of the highest distinctions given by the DLSAU, for his positive influence and commitment to excellence.

ABS-CBN’s flagship news program, “TV Patrol,” was also honored as Most Outstanding News Show for its commitment to timely, credible, and relevant news coverage.
Gawad Lasallianeta honors the country’s most outstanding and influential media communicators, chosen through a university-wide survey of DLSAU administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students.
