GMG Productions Brings Cirque Alice and The Play That Goes Wrong to The Theatre at Solaire

GMG Productions proudly announces its upcoming season at The Theatre at Solaire, bringing two internationally acclaimed productions to Manila this October and November. One is a breathtaking theatrical spectacle that will leave audiences in awe; the other is a brilliantly orchestrated theatrical disaster where absolutely everything goes hilariously wrong. From gravity-defying artistry to spectacular chaos, Cirque Alice and The Play That Goes Wrong promise two completely different yet equally unforgettable live entertainment experiences.

The season opens with the Manila premiere of Cirque Alice, running October 16–25, 2026. Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the spectacular modern theatrical production combines breathtaking acrobatics, soaring aerial performances, visual effects, and world-class performers in an extraordinary live experience for audiences of all ages.

The excitement continues with the Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy phenomenon The Play That Goes Wrong, running November 6–22, 2026. An international smash-hit celebrated as one of the funniest live comedies ever staged, the production transforms theatrical disaster into comedy gold through spectacular chaos, collapsing scenery, slapstick comedy, perfectly timed mishaps, and nonstop laughter that has delighted millions of audience members worldwide for over a decade.
Together, the productions promise two wildly different theatrical experiences: one will take your breath away with wonder and awe, while the other will leave you speechless as everything that could possibly go wrong, hilariously does.

Following acclaimed international runs, these globally celebrated experiences continue GMG Productions’ commitment to bringing world-class live entertainment to the Philippines, offering audiences the opportunity to experience two of the most celebrated stage productions in one extraordinary season.
Carlos Candal, Founder and CEO of GMG Productions, said this year’s season had been carefully selected to offer audiences two completely unique experiences.
“We’ve deliberately chosen two productions that couldn’t be more different.
Cirque Alice is a breathtaking modern theatrical spectacle combining astonishing acrobatics, aerial performances, stunning visuals and the magical world of Alice in Wonderland to create an unforgettable live experience.

The Play That Goes Wrong is simply one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. It’s brilliant slapstick comedy with perfectly choreographed chaos, spectacular physical comedy and nonstop laughs from beginning to end. I recently took my own children to see it in London and they absolutely loved it. It’s the perfect introduction to live theatre for families because everyone, whether you’re six or sixty, laughs together.
I’m also incredibly excited that, alongside these productions, Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration will be running simultaneously at The Space at Solaire. Bringing the first official Harry Potter live theatrical experience to the Philippines marks another major milestone for GMG Productions and completes what promises to be one of the most exciting seasons we’ve ever delivered.

Together, these productions represent an extraordinary season of world-class live entertainment, reflecting our commitment to bringing audiences unique, immersive experiences that surprise, inspire, and create lasting memories. These are exactly the kind of shows people will still be talking about long after they leave the theatre.”
