‘My Korean Boyfriend’ Now Streaming on Netflix

A relationship-focused docu-reality show with celebrities providing unfiltered commentary? We’ve got you. My Korean Boyfriend will feature two bonus episodes in which special guests watch, comment on and react to the show. The production — a blend of reality show and documentary — follows five Brazilian women at different stages of long-distance relationships. Together, they travel to South Korea, where some of them have previously visited their boyfriends, to find out whether their relationships will survive their expectations and cultural differences.

In case you’re wondering, the dynamic is similar to the one that won over audiences in Love is Blind Brazil: Never Too Late, but the dilemmas (and the reactions) here are different. One thing is certain — the pairs Márcia Sensitiva and João Guilherme; Nicole Bahls and Rafa Chalub; Tettrem and Pequena Lo, in addition to the group of content creators made up of Gabriel Kim, Bruno Won Sim, Daiana Broniczak and Isabella Lee, experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during the recording of the reactions in a studio inspired by the aesthetics of this docu-reality show, produced by Floresta.

“What I liked best about My Korean Boyfriend is that the show portrays relationships in a very genuine way. Reacting to all of it alongside Márcia Sensitiva was such a unique experience. I never imagined I’d be binge-watching Netflix with Márcia! We had fun, got annoyed, and were moved too,” says João Guilherme.

“In some stories, I felt a lot of love, and some made me feel like giving someone a real earful. This whole ‘K-drama prince’ thing — I’m not so sure about that, folks! But listen, come watch, because you’ll definitely relate to it and, who knows, maybe you’ll even take something from it for your own life,” Márcia Sensitiva jokes.

“As a person of Korean descent and as someone’s who’s already experienced the culture in Korea, reacting to the episodes with this group of friends — people I have so much in common with — was really special, because we could see ourselves in some of the cultural clashes, and in the good parts too, of course. It was a lot of fun to comment on the situations together and, in a way, to talk about stereotypes as well,” Bruno Won Sim remarked.

My Korean Boyfriend premieres in two parts, the first on January 1, 2026, and the second on January 8, 2026. At the end of each part, viewers can watch a special episode dedicated to the guests’ reactions to the season’s most memorable moments.
